Our small family atmosphere is ideal for new Golfers! No need to be in a rush as you learn yourself, or teach younger family members!

PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Summer is quickly passing by and we are about half way through the 2017 golfing season.  The year is off to a tremendous start, and I am sure you will all join with me in expressing appreciation to our staff for the tremendous job they are doing this year.  The outside staff have the course is in excellent shape and the inside staff have created a warm and friendly atmosphere for all to enjoy.  The course is busy and we are beginning to see the benefits of the changes we have made this year.  The future of Humber River Golf Course is Bright!  

 

JR Golf

Our new Junior Golf Program is now in full swing! Junior golfers have been having lots of fun learning the basics of golf, including proper techniques, etiquette, rules and sportsmanship. The program is divided into two age groups, with the younger (novice) group meeting for three lessons per week, and the older group meeting for three lessons per week, plus the option to golf the course each Monday and Wednesday. We have 50 participants registered in the program, in addition to other children who take advantage of free Wednesday golf with Wayne Allen. Abby Bugden is our golf instructor, and she provides the group instruction, supervision of groups on the course, one-on-one instruction and parent lessons. The Junior Program coordinators would like to thank the membership for their support of this new venture for the HRGC.

  • HRGC Club Chamipionship Tournament August 26, 2017.  To sign up see the clubhouse staff. 
  • We will be holding our annual AGM on Wednesday, September 13, 2017.  There will be no election of officers this year as the current board of Directors have one more year left in their mandate.  At this meeting we intend to table updated Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws for ratification by the membership.  A copy of these will be made available to members prior to meeting to allow time to provide feedback.    As always, we rely on you to help set the future direction of our club.  We would like to encourage all members to attend and bring forward any issues, concerns or suggestions that you may have.
